Privacy Policy

Account information — your email address and, if you use password sign-in, a hashed password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only your email and name from those providers.

Phone number — if you enable SMS notifications (Pro plan), we collect the mobile phone number you provide in Settings. This number is used solely to deliver your daily price-alert summary via SMS and is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Watchlist data — the products you choose to track, including product name, store, URL, price, and any target price you set.

Purchase history — if you use Price Protection (Pro plan), we store the product name, store, purchase price, and purchase date that you enter. This data is used solely to monitor whether the current price drops below what you paid within the store's price match window.

Search queries — product names, URLs, or barcodes you search for. These are used to fetch results and are not permanently stored to a profile.

Camera and microphone (mobile app) — if you use the barcode scanner or voice search in the Android app, your device's camera and microphone are accessed only while you're actively using that feature. We do not store camera images or audio recordings; a scanned barcode number and any recognized speech are used only to run the corresponding search.

Payment information — we do not store card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe, which handles and stores all payment details under their own privacy policy.

Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) that help us keep the service running and secure.

• To provide the service — comparing prices, tracking your watchlist, sending price-drop alerts.
• To send transactional emails — price alerts, account confirmations, billing receipts. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
• To send SMS alerts — if you opt in, we send your daily price-drop summary to the phone number you provide (Pro plan only).
• To monitor prices for Price Protection — we periodically check current prices against your logged purchase prices and alert you when a refund opportunity appears within the store's price match window.
• To improve the product — understanding which features are used and where errors occur.
• To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

If you opt in to SMS notifications, Priview will send you automated price alert messages at the number you provide. Message frequency: up to 1 message per day. Msg & data rates may apply.

SMS opt-in consent is collected at the time you save or update your phone number. The consent checkbox is never pre-checked — you must actively check it each session before saving. Prior consent does not carry over to future sessions.

Your phone number is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. It is transmitted to Twilio solely to deliver your SMS alerts.

To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message, or change your notification method to "Email only" in Settings. To get help, reply HELP or email support@pri-view.app.

We use the following services to operate Priview:

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your account data, watchlist, and phone number (if provided) are stored here.
• Twilio — SMS delivery for users who enable SMS notifications. Your phone number and alert message content are transmitted to Twilio solely to send your daily alert.
• Stripe — payment processing. Handles all subscription billing.
• Serper / Google Shopping — price search results. Your search query is sent to retrieve product prices.
• UPCitemdb — barcode lookup. When you scan a product barcode in the app, the scanned UPC/EAN number is sent to UPCitemdb to resolve it to a product name before we search for prices.
• Google (Android app) — the Android app's barcode scanner and voice search are powered by Google Play Services (ML Kit and on-device speech recognition), which process the camera/microphone input on your device.
• Resend — transactional email delivery for alerts and notifications.

Each of these services has their own privacy policy and data practices.

We keep your account and watchlist data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records).

• Access — you can view all your watchlist data inside the app at any time.
• Deletion — email us and we will delete your account and associated data.
• Correction — you can update your email and notification preferences in Settings.
• Portability — contact us if you'd like an export of your data.

We use browser local storage to remember your theme preference and session state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

We use HTTPS for all data transmission, and passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms via Supabase Auth. No security measure is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Priview is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top, and for material changes we'll notify you by email or an in-app notice.
